Short Take: Beyond.com, Road Runner sign software deal

Beyond.com, an online software retailer, and No. 2 cable modem service Road Runner will launch a co-branded software section on Road Runner's high-speed network. The software section is slated to go live by the end of June. Financial terms of the "multiyear" deal were not disclosed. Beyond offers 44,000 software titles--more than 10 percent of which are available as downloads--and has a similar deal with @Home Network.
