AT&T today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Wireless One Network. AT&T Wireless Services, which operates a digital wireless network, is a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T. Wireless One owns and operates wireless systems in northwest and southwest Florida, covering a population base of 1.56 million people and serving approximately 177,000 cellular subscribers at the end of 1999. AT&T and Wireless One signed a definitive purchase agreement Feb. 7, 2000. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
