Short Take: AOL, Compaq in DSL deal

America Online and Compaq Computer have teamed to give consumers an easy way to access the Internet via DSL broadband connectivity. Under the agreement, new Compaq Presario Internet PCs will be equipped with DSL-ready modems and will prominently feature preinstalled AOL software that includes special programming and features for broadband users.
