Alcatel said it has shipped one million digital subscriber lines (DSL) in the first four months of this year through sales of its network equipment. The company, which leads the market in DSL equipment for consumer connections, said first quarter shipments of DSL gear were up 750 percent over the same period last year. Alcatel shipped equipment for 1.6 million lines all of last year.
