Linkstar Communications will target
technically-challenged companies this fall with Intrasmart, a prewritten
corporate intranet hosting service designed to link businesses to the Web
"within minutes," the company said. The "turn-key" service will reduce
costs and eliminate the need for technical expertise and systems
maintenance. The service will include already written document suites,
graphics and publishing applications, automated indexing, chat forums, a
search engine, a bulletin board system, and email. The service will be launched
on November 18 and will cost $99 per
month. A standalone boxed version costing $995 is set for
release during the first quarter of next year.
