Korean wireless carrier KTF has begun offering a tracking service that can keep tabs on children, for example. The service uses handsets with Qualcomm's global positioning chips and software, Qualcomm announced Tuesday.
The KTF service is supposed to provide a cell phone's location within 50 meters "in open areas," according to a Qualcomm announcement. KTF began offering its tracking service in selected areas at the beginning of the month. It began offering it across the country on Tuesday.
