Philips displayed at its booth the Entertaible, a large horizontal touch screen for board games. The Entertaible was demonstrated with a simple automotive board game, where four players rolled dice and directed their cars through a city. The 30-inch screen actively drew the game board, while the players used the touch screen to roll dice and direct their game pieces. The Entertaible's concept seems relatively simple, but it's still one of the biggest advances in board-game technology in years. The Entertaible is a Philips research project and is not currently planned for commercial release.
