The Nokia X6, Nokia's first touchscreen phone with a capacitive screen, could be dropping as soon as 16 November, according to R&B diva Rihanna.
Alright, fine, the mohican-topped warbler didn't leak the X6, but Nokia did in a recent blog entry for her upcoming streamed concert. It said the 16 November concert will "coincide with the global availability of the Nokia X6".
The HTC HD2 blew our minds by slapping a capacitive touchscreen on the Windows Mobile operating system, and we have high hopes Nokia can do the same. If it's also learned some lessons from the disappointing user interface that graced the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic too, the X6 could be the best Nokia music phone yet.
We're talking 32GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi and HSDPA for faster downloads over 3G, and a 5-megapixel camera with two LED lights. And praise be to the phone gods, a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
When we spoke to Nokia, it was as surprised as we were that the X6
would be globally available in our hot little hands in a mere five days
time, but we'll keep you updated if and when it confirms the date
officially.
In the meantime, we've got a groaning buffet of photos and impressions in our hands-on with the X6.
