Motorola announces Pro+ for Europe and Asia
Strong enough for an enterprise user but with enough features to appeal to almost anyone, the Motorola Pro+ arrives for European and Asian markets in October.
Motorola unveiled its latest Android smartphone today, the Pro+, announcing it for European and Asian markets.
Looking very similar to Sprint's
Peeking under the hood we find a 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera, 4GB internal storage, and 512MB RAM. Like nearly every other Android phone on the market, there's also support for Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and a microSD expansion slot.
The business-friendly handset comes preloaded with Quickoffice Connect for creating and accessing documents on the go and secure enterprise software.
The 3G Mobile Hotspot feature will allow user to connect multiple devices for mobile Internet access while Corning Gorilla Glass provides peace of mind in knowing the display can take a moderate beating.
For those concerned that the Pro+ might be all work and no play, Motorola also has loaded its own custom music player with song recommendations, lyric lookup, and links to videos. What's more, the Gallery application combines a user's images from multiple social networking and photo-hosting sites including Picasa and Facebook.
Exact pricing has not been determined for the Pro+, though we expect to hear news on carrier announcements in the coming weeks. It's unknown whether the Pro+ will make it to the United States at this point, but given that one variant of the device supports the WCDMA 850/1700/2100 bands, TMoNews is speculating that it could land at T-Mobile.
