Moto G 4G LTE speeds over to U.S. Cellular

The regional US carrier picks up Motorola's budget Android phone.

Already selling the 3G Moto G, U.S. Cellular now adds the speedier smartphone to its lineup. Andrew Hoyle/CNET

If the 3G version of the Motorola Moto G smartphone just isn't fast enough for your tastes, U.S. Cellular has the answer: the Moto G 4G LTE it just added to its roster.

The carrier will sell the budget Android device for a penny when you buy it with a two-year service agreement, but you can also buy it for just $100 off-contract as well.

Even with specs like Android 4.4 KitKat, a 4.5-inch display, a quad-core processor, and a 5-megapixel camera, the Moto G 4G LTE still qualifies as an entry-level effort. That doesn't mean "cheap." Its solid performance and attractive design make the Moto G our bargain phone to beat, especially now that it comes with LTE.
