Lingering Road Runner e-mail outage resolved
An e-mail outage Monday that halted messages to some customers of high-speed Internet access service Road Runner was resolved Thursday, according to a company representative, though some e-mail continues to be slow to arrive because of the backlog of undelivered messages. The e-mail problems, isolated to a data center in Austin, Texas, affected an undetermined number of subscribers in the Southwest. Road Runner operates 21 data centers nationwide, serving nearly 1.5 million customers. No messages were lost and customers continued to have Web surfing capabilities during the e-mail problems, the representative said.
