LG's G Pro 2 sales spread to big Asian markets
The large 5.9-inch phone expands to some big Asian markets like Indonesia and Singapore, but LG Electronics still won't commit to North American or European sales.

LG Electronics has begun selling its G Pro 2 in some Asian countries, but people in other regions who want the big Android phone will have to wait to see if carriers express any interest.
The phone has a large 5.9-inch 1920x1080 screen, good performance, Android 4.4. KitKat, and the Knock Code mechanism for waking up and unlocking the phone. It's a companion to the LG's flagship G2 Android phone and several lower-end models with which the company is trying to make headway against its Korean rival, Samsung.
LG began selling it in February in Korea and now has expanded sales to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippine, Vietnam, and Indonesia, the company said Tuesday.
For other markets, LG isn't making any promises.
"We don't have final confirmation for North America and Europe yet," spokesman Ken Hong said. "If carriers in these two markets show interest, then you'll hear about it. But until then, we'll take things region by region."
The G Pro 2 also has a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor; a Qualcomm Adreno 330 graphics chip; a 3GB of memory; a 3,200mAh removable battery; support for LTE and HSPA+ mobile newtorks; NFC communications; and 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-FI networking. It comes in red, white, and black.
