Forget the insanely high-resolution screen or the HD video recording -- our favourite feature of the iPhone 4 is that it's coming to the UK on the very same day as the US -- 24 June.

Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U have already launched pre-registration pages for the latest Apple wondergadget, with logos on the Carphone page seemingly showing that we can expect the iPhone 4 from O2, Orange and Vodafone.

O2 is a certainty, with the big blue network already announcing that it will be selling the iPhone 4 from the beginning -- but not exclusively, as it did with the previous iPhone 3GS. O2 says it will offer a special upgrade package to people still on contract, but it's holding back on the details of the deal for now. You can pre-register for iPhone 4 news from O2 on its Web site. 

We still don't know how many organs we'll have to sell to buy an iPhone 4 here in Blighty. Yanks will pay $199 (£137) for the 16GB version and $299 (£207) for the 32GB version on some unknown -- but definitely pricey -- contract when it's released in the US, but specific UK pricing hasn't yet been announced. Based on past experience, however, the iPhone 4 will probably be pricier than a straight conversion to pounds would suggest.

Update: Vodafone has confirmed it will be selling the iPhone 4 on 24 June, and you can pre-register on its Web site. Orange confirmed the news too, but doesn't have its iPhone 4 Web site up yet. Price details remain a mystery for all the networks, but expect exhaustive comparisons when they're announced.

Update 2: You can now pre-register your keenness for an iPhone 4 on Orange at its Web site, too. 

Update 3: T-Mobile has just announced that it will also sell the iPhone 4 on its network, although it has yet to announce timings or prices. We'll let you know when we hear.
