This is what Google's upcoming Nexus phone may look like
A new leak gives us a possible look at Google and HTC's upcoming Nexus smartphone.
Earlier rumors have suggested that HTC will be building the next Nexus smartphone for Google. We now have a look at what that phone may look like when it is released later this year. The image was published on Tuesday by Android Police, a tech site that has reported accurate leaks in the past.
The website reports that the phone will feature an aluminum body, rather than the polycarbonate one we saw with the Nexus 5x. It is also said to feature a "gentle curve" around the edges, although it won't be like the curved screen of Samsung's Galaxy S7 Edge.
HTC is believed to be making two devices with similar specs but different screen sizes. The larger phone, which is code-named Marlin, is expected to be equipped with a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display with a 2,560x1440-pixel resolution. Meanwhile, the smaller device, which is referred to as Sailfish, is said to feature a 5-inch Full HD display with a 1,920x1080-pixel resolution.
Other specs include a quad-core Qualcomm processor, 12-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a USB-C port and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Both phones will also run a stock version of Android Nougat.
An HTC spokesman said the company had "no comment on rumors or speculation." Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
