Finally, the real Google Phone appears.
Google showed off the Pixel and Pixel XL, the new flagship phones from the search giant. Unlike in past years, Google had a stronger hand in developing the hardware and software, which will be the first to work with Google Assistant.
Google Assistant was such a big deal, by the way, that CEO Sundar Pichai devoted the first 10 minutes or so to talking about that, rather than the hardware itself.
We also discuss Daydream View and Google's ambitions in virtual reality, and save a little time for the revelation that Yahoo has been sniffing our email.
The 3:59 gives you bite-size news and analysis about the top stories of the day, brought to you by the CNET News team in New York and producer Bryan VanGelder.
