Black Friday is always a massive shopping day in the US, but this year retailers are lining up earlier than ever to get their sales on shoppers' radar. And some of these sales are already happening. We're tracking the most enticing tech deals of the season right here, so check back regularly to see what new goodies we've found.


Amazon is offering Black Friday discounts on some of its own branded tech devices. Those include:

Amazon Fire HD 6 for $79 (a $20 discount). Runs Thursday, Nov. 27 through Saturday, Nov. 29.

Amazon Fire HD 7 for $109 (a $30 discount). Runs Thursday, Nov. 27 through Cyber Monday, Dec. 1.

Amazon Kindle for $49 (a $30 discount). Runs Thursday, Nov. 27 through Saturday, Nov. 29.

Kindle Paperwhite for $99 ($20 off). Runs Thursday, Nov. 27 through Saturday, Nov. 29.

Kindle bundles: These pair either a Kindle or a Kindle Paperwhite with 6 months of Kindle Unlimited service for a discount. The Kindle bundle will cost $79 and the Paperwhite bundle will cost $129.

Amazon Fire Phone will come unlocked with no contract for $199. This deal is on now and will last through Cyber Monday, Dec. 1.

Fire TV Stick is available at Best Buy and Staples for $24.99 (a $15 discount). This deal is on now and will last through Saturday, Nov. 29.

Buy a Sonos Play:1, Play:3, Play:5 or PlayBar and get an Amazon gift card worth $20-$50 depending on your purchase.

The Acer Chromebook 11 will cost $149 (a $50 savings).

All iPad Air 2 models will be $100 off.

Beats Solo headphone will sell for $80, a savings of $90 off the usual price.

The Dropcam HD price will drop $49 to $100. Note that this is the older-model Dropcam, which isn't quiet as high-res as the Dropcam Pro.

The GoPro Hero 3+ Silver action camera will be available at $249.99, a $50 savings.

Nest's smart thermostat will be $199.99, also a $50 savings.

The Panasonic 50-inch LED 1080p HDTV will cost $200.

Buy the Philips Hue Starter Kit (which includes three bulbs and a hub) for $200 and you can get a Philips Hue Bloom Accent light (normally $80) for free.

The Samsung 55-inch LED Ultra HD Smart TV will be on sale for $900.

Now through Saturday, Nov. 29, the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available at Best Buy stores and on for $1, with a two-year contract from AT&T, Verizon Wireless or Sprint.

Some Xbox One and PS4 games will be half off.


PlayStation 4 with copies of Grand Theft Auto V and The Last of Us for $400.

Xbox One with Assassin's Creed Unity and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for $330.

The majority of Toys R Us' deals, of course, are on analog toys. But they do carry video games and consoles, tablets designed specifically for kids, as well as some lower-end electronics that are kid-appropriate in price and performance.

Video games for the current consoles are buy 1, get 1 for 40% off (excluding starter packs). Some games for the Nintendo Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 are buy 1, get one for $2.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 , a 7" tablet with Enhanced Kids Mode will run $129.99 (a $100 savings).

Verizon Wireless (see Connection Day site)

Verizon has dubbed the day before Thanksgiving "Connection Day" and will offer lots of little freebies that day. They include free movie and book downloads; free music streaming; in-flight Wi-Fi service; data boosts; and magazine subscriptions. We have more details here.

Walmart (see the complete circular)

Walmart has already announced upcoming discounts on a wide range of gadgets. You can get more details here. But here's a sampling of what they include:

The 16GB iPad Mini for $199, and you'll get a $30 gift card to boot.

The 16GB Wi-Fi iPad Air for $397, with a $100 gift card kicked in.

An RCA Google Play Android tablet for $29.

Walmart is also selling a $99 Windows 8.1 tablet, and you don't even have to wait till Thanksgiving to buy it (though it costs more in advance). The Cheapskate has more details about the Nextbook tablet here.

The Neato XV-21 robot vacuum will be $269 (normally $430).

Get the Microsoft Xbox One for $329, and Walmart will throw in Halo: The Master Chief Collection and a $30 gift card for free.

Get Sony's PlayStation 4 at its usual price of $399 and you'll get Grand Theft Auto V and The Last of Us. Alternatively, you can opt for the PS4 at that price and get a $50 Walmart gift card.

Walmart will offer two Motorola Wi-Fi HD Home Monitoring Cameras for $99 total (regularly $149.99 each).

Manufacturers' deals

Apple: The company is giving iTunes gift cards to those who purchase some hardware products on Nov. 28. Customers get a $100 gift card if they buy an iMac, MacBook Air or MacBook Pro; a $50 gift card if they buy an iPad or iPhone; and a $25 gift card if they buy an iPod Touch or iPod Nano.

Blizzard: Several Blizzard games are on sale now, including World of Warcraft for $4.99, Diablo 3 for $19.99, StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty for $9.99 and Heart of the Swarm for $9.99.

Canon: Through December 1, all sorts of rebates and gift-card cashbacks on cameras and lenses; see the entire list here, and see which Canon deals we like best. The Rebel T5i dual-lens kit for $700 is a good buy from a few retailers, including Walmart; the T3i dual-lens kit for $300 from Best Buy and Amazon (and likely elsewhere); and the T5 kit for $400 at hhgregg and elsewhere.

Channel Master: Get a Channel Master antenna DVR for $175 (regular price $249). Note: This deal is valid on Black Friday from 6-11 a.m. PT and again on Cyber Monday from 6-11 a.m. PT.

Dell: Dell will offer limited quantities of tablets starting at $99.99, laptops at $189.99, desktops at $199.99, 2-in-1s at $349.99 and Alienware gaming PCs starting at $549.00. It will also give customers $50 off on all orders $699.99 and up with a coupon code. See its press release for more details.

Feedly: The RSS reader site is offering a one-year pro subscription for $35 (a $10 discount).

Freeway app: The Freeway App will give away $100,000 in tech products and gadgets during a 3-hour event this Black Friday.

HTC: Get a Re Camera for only $99 (50 percent off) Order a RE online or purchase it through Verizon, AT&T, Best Buy and T-Mobile's websites, or through The Underground on T-Mobile. Offer also available in-store at Verizon, AT&T and Best Buy. While supplies last. This promotion begins on Thanksgiving at 9 p.m. PT and ends on Cyber Monday at 9 p.m. PT, or when inventory runs out.

Lensbaby: The Special Edition Spark, a selective-focus SLR lens operated by flexing the rim with your fingers, is $30 off, down to $100.

LIFX: The Wi-Fi smartbulb company is offering 20 percent off its entire range of products in its online store, as well as free worldwide shipping.

Microsoft: Microsoft is offering $100 off its Surface Pro 3 i5, and $150 off either the Surface Pro 3 i7 or Surface 2: Available through Microsoft retail stores,, Best Buy and some retailers. While supplies last, customers who purchase a Lumia 830 will receive a free Fitbit Flex ($99.99 value): Available from AT&T retail stores and online, at and Microsoft Store retail stores. And of course, many retailers out there are offering the Xbox One for $349. And the Acer Aspire E5-571P-59QA, a 15.6" Windows 8.1 touch-screen laptop, will be available for $399.99 (a $200 savings) through Microsoft stores.

Mio: The Mio Link, a heart monitor we wrote about earlier this year , will be available for $79 (a $20 discount). This deal begins the day before Thanksgiving (November 26) and runs through Cyber Monday (December 1). Details here.

Monoprice: Monoprice has posted deals on everything from 3D printers to HDMI cables. Some discounts are minimal, but we saw some significant savings on a Bluetooth speaker for $89.99 (normally $129), a 5.1-channel home theater system with subwoofer for $179.99 (regular price $229) and a 3D printer for $999.99 ($200 off). You can also get a few bucks off all manner of cables, adapters and other accessories. These deals run now through November 30.

Nikon: Looking for a complete list of Black Friday Nikon deals? Look no further than Nikon's site. Some good deals to look for are the Nikon D3200 dual-lens kit for $500 at several major retailers including Walmart, Target and Best Buy; the L830 for $170 from Best Buy and Sears; and a D7000 kit for $800 at Best Buy.

Panasonic: Panasonic is running a "you pay what we pay" deal on most products on its site. Some of the best deals include the Lumix FZ200 camera for $299.99 (a $300 discount) and the AS530 series 50-inch TV for $499 (a saving of $100).

Roku: On the 2013 Roku LT is available for $30: This product has recently been discontinued, but it's essentially identical to the Roku 1 , which currently sells for $40 to $50. The Roku Streaming Stick is available for $40: That's a $10 discount on the model we still think is the best sub-$50 media streamer you can buy. To sweeten these two deals, Roku is offering two free months of Rdio Unlimited streaming service.

ScanCafe: The company discounting its service for digitizing prints, slides, and film negatives on Nov. 28. The 500-image kit costs $115 (a $30 discount); the 2,000-image kit is $220 (a $50 discount); and the 5,000-image kit is $900 (a $200 discount).

Sigma: Sigma has put lots of its lenses on sale for the holidays, and you don't even have to wait until Black Friday to score some of these deals. You can see the whole list here. But our camera expert especially likes this one: Get the Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM for $400. This is an older full-frame model, but it is still a fine choice for Nikon or Canon dSLR full-frame or APS-C shooters. From November 27 through December 2, Sigma has these lenses on sale: 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM for $379 ($100 off); 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM for $469 ($200 off); 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM for $1,099 ($300 off); and 150-500mm F5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM for $769 ($300 off).
