AT&T Wireless, Motorola debut smart phone

AT&T Wireless and Motorola announced on Tuesday the availability of the $300 Motorola MPx200 smart phone, which uses Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system. As previously reported, the MPx200 is the first smart phone in North America to use Microsoft's OS.

Motorola and Microsoft jointly developed the handset. The two companies are expected to work together to market the phone and to encourage developers to create applications for the device.
