Apple Watch SE sale: Save $60 ahead of Cyber Monday

Time is running out to get one of the best Apple deals this year. Get the Apple Watch SE for $220 today or tomorrow on Cyber Monday at Amazon and Target.

Apple Watch SE

The Apple Watch SE is available for an all-time low of $220, and it's unlikely to hit a lower price in 2021.

Black Friday brought the Apple Watch SE to $220 Target and Amazon. The Apple Watch SE usually starts at $279, so would-be smartwatch owners stand to save about $60. If you're on the hunt for Apple Black Friday deals, this is one of the best you'll find -- and it's available for purchase right now. Best Buy also offered the Apple Watch SE at the same discount earlier, but prices have since gone back up.

Last year's Black Friday sales brought the Apple Watch SE to $229, and the current sale price will probably be the best Black Friday Apple Watch deal we get in 2021.

That price applies to the GPS-only version of the watch in the 40mm size option, and available color choices include silver, gold and space gray. The watch is currently backordered but should still arrive before Christmas, as Amazon estimates it should be delivered by Dec. 16. With the Apple Watch SE, you get a larger display like the Series 5 and 6 without the always-on aspect. You get most of the same great health-related features, activity tracking and notifications right on your wrist.

While we know that the Apple Watch Series 3 will be down to $109 at Walmart next week, the Apple Watch SE is a much better long-term purchase. There are newer competing watches that work with iOS and Android, have modern features that the Series 3 doesn't have, like an always-on display, and will likely get continued support for years. That last point is worth keeping in mind, since there's no guarantee that the Series 3 will see the inevitable next WatchOS version (probably WatchOS 9) after already receiving four years of support. So be sure to grab an Apple Watch SE now before they sell out.
