Another hosted services provider

We've told you how Microsoft is going into the hosted software business--software that's available online rather than on a computer--and about some other hosted services. I discovered a new one today, a company called Smart Online, which, according to Small Business Computing, has a suite of services targed at businesses of less than 25 people, things such as accounting, contact management, calendars, and other tasks.

We'll be reviewing as much of this kind of thing as we can. But I can say that as a small-business owner and a witness to other small businesses, I love to have as much functionality as possible online, especially if it's compatible with a wide range of computers, operating systems, and devices.
