Acer C6 Liquid Express Android phone in Orange leak

Acer's newest mobile, the Android-powered C6 Liquid Express, has been leaked by Orange. Read on for all the specs.

Acer's newest mobile has been leaked by Orange. The Android-powered C6 Liquid Express has popped up on the network operator's website, along with a list of its specs.

The C6 Liquid Express, spotted by Unwired View, will come running Android version 2.3 Gingerbread, backed up by both Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. It's going to have a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, and around the back it's set to pack a 5-megapixel camera.

As for dimensions, it's coming in at 115 by 61 by 13.3mm, which makes it much thicker than the iPhone 4 (which is 9.3mm deep). There's an FM radio and MP3 player built-in, and battery life is supposedly 20 days on standby. Oh, and it weighs 135g.

This is looking decidedly mid-range to us, rocking a very similar design to other Acer smart phones, like the ol' Acer Liquid E we reviewed way back in July last year.

The rounded top and bottom are still in place, though we notice the Liquid Express has just three touch-sensitive buttons on its face, doing away with the search button.

We weren't too impressed with the plasticky finish of the Liquid E, and we felt its design was easily trumped by similarly priced HTC and Samsung mobiles. So we'll be looking for a refreshed design and a speedy interface when we get our hands on the Liquid Express.

Orange lists the phone as coming soon on pay monthly "from free" -- we'll let you know when we hear more.
