A pair of images surfaced over the weekend for the HTC Vigor, an unannounced Verizon Wireless handset rumored for October.

While the pictures show HTC's branding and a mention of Sense UI, we don't see Verizon's logo or a mention of 4G LTE. Considering that we're a month or more from the expected release, this might simply be a test device that hasn't been given its final design.

With specifications that should include a 4.3-inch HD (1,280x720-pixel) display, dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage, there's more than enough here to whip Android fans into a frenzy.

Additional speculation calls for the Vigor to run Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and feature an 8-megapixel camera and Beats by Dr. Dre technology.

Longtime Android enthusiasts will recognize that the back side of the Vigor takes design cues from the Droid Incredible.

One name that's being tossed around for this phone, the Droid Incredible HD, makes sense given the screen resolution. Another indication that this could come to fruition is that both the Droid Incredible and its successor were manufactured by HTC.
