Roku announced it will bring its Roku Express and Streaming Stick+ devices to the UK from the 19th of October.

The Roku Express is the budget entry into the Roku family, costing £30. It comes with a remote control and HDMI cable, so everything you need to get started is already in the box. Roku boasts this newest model will be five times faster than their previous one, although it only streams footage up to 1080p.

The Streaming Stick+ will cost £80, but it packs a bigger punch with its quad-core processor, great for HD, 4K and 4K HDR video playback. It also has improved wireless performance, offering up to four times the wireless range on previous models, which will help to minimise buffering.

Roku devices are powered by the Roku OS and provide access to more than 4,000 streaming channels, including 150,000 movies and TV episodes in the UK.

You can read our US reviews of the Roku Express and Express+ from earlier this week. Both of devices deliver everything good about Roku for a rock-bottom price, but it might be worth spending a bit extra on a faster streamer, like the Streaming Sick+.

We'll be sure to bring you UK specific reviews as soon as we get our hands on the new devices.
