Oodles of audio and music holiday gift ideas

The Audiophiliac's picks range from $5 to $150, most are well under $100.

It's that time of year again, so the Audiophiliac put together a nice assortment of music and gear gift ideas.

It might not be the most glamorous treat under the tree, but the $12.95 Etymotic Research ER20 earplugs might be the most valuable. All earplugs block out external noise, but muffle the sound. The ER20 plugs sound clear, and still reduce noise, so they make concerts and other loud activities safer to enjoy.

Bruce Springsteen's "The Album Collection Vol. 1 1973-1984" box set assembles the Boss' first seven albums, and this newly remastered set sounds clearer than any previous versions of the albums I've heard. The packaging, booklet and album covers are beautifully presented, Amazon sells the box for $74.99.

James Brown's "Love Power Peace: Live at the Olympia, Paris 1971" is easily one of the best live concert CDs I've heard, and it's just $4.99 on Amazon!

The gifts run the gamut -- there's more music, digital audio players, a turntable, headphone, and electronics -- each and every one priced under $150.
