Seattle-based mobile music company Melodeo said Wednesday that it won worldwide rights to sell songs from Warner Music Group through cell phone networks.

The company said its first distributor is Spanish mobile operator Telefonica, which is marketing the service under the brand name Mplay. Melodeo is currently in negotiations with other major music labels to add their content to its catalog.
