Apple TV set could be due November 2013

The anticipated Apple-produced TV will be available late next year, according to the same analyst who predicted it arriving next month.

Like bareback riding, amateur dramatics and nude wrestling, predicting where the tech industry will head next is a job for the brave, for the confidant and for people who seem fairly immune to being embarrassed.

Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster said that he believes Apple will kick off its long-awaited TV in November 2013 (not to be confused with the already-existent Apple TV media streamer). This is a bit of a change from his earlier prediction that Apple would launch the TV in December this year, and begin selling it early next year.

Munster believes that the TV will retail for between US$1500 and US$2000, and be between 42 and 55 inches in size. Munster added:

We expect the beauty of the design to be a feature, but the most important feature will be the ability to use the TV as the main interface for the living room across multiple devices. We believe the TV will include Siri and FaceTime. The biggest item unlikely to come with the TV will be unbundled channels.

So, there you have it: Apple may or may not make a TV that it hasn't announced at all, possibly next year. It could have a medium-sized screen or a big one, and it'll be good looking.
