Apple TV adds dark mode, single sign-on, HomeKit control, Sling TV, games and more
Apple's WWDC keynote was packed with improvements and additions to the Apple TV box and its TVOS operating system, including new apps, games and usability improvements.

If you were waiting for the Apple TV to offer something revolutionary that upsets the TV world as we know it, relax. The latest improvements to the company's set-top box are meaningful, for sure, but amount to more baby steps for Apple aficionados than giant leaps for mankind.
At the company's World Wide Developers Conference today, Eddy Cue, head of Apple TV, took the wraps off a bunch of new features and extras coming to the box. Here's the full list, with links to the ones we examine in-depth in other articles.
- Now more than 6,000 native apps, including 1,300 video channels
- Dark Mode with black background for nighttime viewing
- Single sign-on for cable authentication apps
- Updated Remote iOS app with touch for navigation and Siri support
- When you download an app on iPhone, it automatically downloads to your Apple TV
- Support for up to four game controllers

We expect to have more information on the improvements over the next few days. In the meantime, here are some slides from the keynote.
