If you want to learn how to make games, one of the best places to do so in Australia is the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE). There, you'll learn 3D animation, visual effects and game design — all the nuts and bolts of putting together a video-game from the ground up.
Once you've graduated, though, how do you get started? Well, the AIE has that covered too, with an incubator program designed to help developers build their first game — and figure out all the ins and outs of doing business.
We talk to incubator coordinator Dan Toose, formerly of Sega Australia, about what the incubator does — and some of the developers about building their very first games.
