On the tail of puzzle game Monument Valley's outstanding success, lead designer Ken Wong has moved on from ustwo to found his own studio. Based in Melbourne, Australia, the new studio is called Mountains, described as a "craft games studio" that makes "games that lingers in hearts and minds."
"I'm excited to be drawing from all my experiences across different roles in order to build a more creative and healthier type of games company," Wong, whose previous work includes Alice: Madness Returns, in a statement. "We're starting by putting people first. Great work will follow from that." The studio also includes producer Kamina Vincent, formerly of Tin Man Games, and Sam Crisp, writer and designer of the award-winning Movement Study 1.
The studio's first game, yet to be announced, will be a premium mobile game to be released sometime in 2017. You can follow Mountains on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
