Cyberpunk 2077 still has some life in it.

CD Projekt Red

CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 continues to sell, reaching a new milestone.

The sci-fi RPG released in 2020 has now sold more than 20 million copies, according to a tweet from the game's official Twitter account Wednesday. This comes a week after there were more than 1 million players jumping on the game

CD Projekt Red said in April 2021 that Cyberpunk 2077 had sold more than 13 million copies across the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox series X|S in the three weeks it was available in 2020. Since then, however, there was a loss of interest in the game due to a wealth of bugs and glitches that led buyers of the game to request refunds and saw Sony temporarily pull the game from its PlayStation Store.

The developer fixed many of the problems with the game throughout 2021, leading more players to return. Then, in recent weeks, CD Projekt Red revealed its upcoming expansion for the game that will feature Keanu Reeves and a Netflix spinoff series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The increase in Cyberpunk 2077 players came a week after the show's premiere.
