Suunto Core packed with tech for outdoors

Another new watch from Suunto, a true leader in creating sports watches with a difference.

Dave Phillips is one of the founders of the Titleist Performance Institute in Oceanside, California; he is Class A member of the PGA of America and has devoted the past 18 years to becoming a world-class instructor. He has his own television show on the golf channel, Golf Fitness Academy, and is regularly featured as a writer in several major golf and sports publications as well as on his site MyTPI.com. When he is not working at the Titleist Performance Institute, Phillips lectures around the world on golf-specific fitness and sports technology.

Suunto is perhaps one of the most technically advanced sports watch companies in the marketplace today. They have some serious technology packed into these stylish watches.

The latest is the Suunto Core, which comes in a variety of colors and styles to please the fashion conscious. This new watch comes packed with features that keep you informed out on the ski slopes or trail. It comes with an accurate altimeter, barometer, digital thermometer, weather trend indicator and a digital compass.

The pressure gauge operates in four distinct modes, including an automatic setting that senses your movement or lack thereof, switching between altimeter and barometer accordingly. The compass features a rotating bezel for traditional use, or a one-touch function that allows you to sight, lock and follow a bearing. Daily functions include dual time, date, alarm, sports chronograph and predicted times for sunrise and sunset.

So if your looking for something for the outdoorsman in the family look no further--this watch needs to be on the Xmas list.
