Deep frying is serious business. Just look at all the attention that deep frying anything and putting it on a stick gets in the food world. This of course, is not a bad thing; deep fried anything on a stick is usually quite delicious. However, there happens to be another way of achieving deliciousness by the spearing of meat: the rotisserie.

The Waring Pro TF200 Rotisserie Turkey Fryer/Steamer offers a bit of something for everyone -- and more than enough to go around. The integrated rotisserie mechanism rotates a turkey through hot oil creating an intriguing method of cooking that can produce a fully cooked 18-pound bird in fewer than 90 minutes. A front-facing spigot makes draining the 2.5-gallon device easy, which is a feature that will be often used as the countertop appliance can also be used as a steamer.

Safety features include a magnetic breakaway power cord, nonslip feet, and stay-cool basket handles; however, with the perils of Thanksgiving turkey frying well documented on the Web, it's probably a good idea to employ some extra caution. The reservoir features minimum and maximum fill lines, offering an easy way to explore these new cooking opportunities, of which there will be plenty for this year-round appliance. But while chowing down on all that delicious deep-fried goodness, just try to remember that it can be used as a healthy steamer, too.
