Photo-printing service SnapBox specializes in making pro lab-caliber products accessible to consumers. It's grown its offerings since its start in 2012 to include everything from fine art prints to pillows at affordable prices, and now it's adding photo books to the list.
But they're not just your run-of-the-mill books. They use a special bookbinding technique so that when you open to any page, the pages lay flat. This also allows a picture to be spread edge-to-edge across two pages with no interruption of the image from the binding. Prints are done in silver halide for smooth tones, vibrant color and longevity.
The company, an offshoot of Jondo USA which does fine art reproductions for galleries and publishers, even developed its own editing software to make building your book as easy as possible. Each book is 6 by 6 inches with a hardcover and rounded corners, and is filled with 12 pages. The regular price for a book is $36, but they are currently available for a promotional price of $27.
