The device was first announced at the annual IFA tradeshow in Berlin earlier this year, and comes with a quad-core processor and 4.8-inch HD LCD screen. While it was originally revealed that the camera would be available in 3G and 4G variants, Australia is only getting the 3G version of the camera.

It will be available outright for AU$599 through major retailers, including Harvey Norman, which already has the camera available for pre-sale. Samsung will also make the Galaxy Camera available through Optus, though availability hasn't yet been confirmed by the telco.
