Shiver me timbers! International Talk Like a Pirate Day it be, an' the good ship Crave is settin' sail wi' pictures o'the Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD, loaded with 10-megapixels o'booty. Yo ho ho!

Avast, ye scurvy dogs! International Talk Like a Pirate Day it be, an' the good ship Crave is here to relieve ye of yer worldy possessions. But fair exchange be no robbery, so come closer an' we'll tell ye a tale in return, a tale of the Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD. It's a 10-megapixel camera with a 15x optical zoom, so ye can throw out yer telescope and use this little scallywag in its stead when a swaggy ye espy.

Other features include face detection an' image stabilisation, in case ye've been on the grog an' need the camera to take care o'your shaky hands. ISO speeds go up to 1600 for shooting by the light o'the moon, or even higher at 5-megapixel resolution, but ye will have some noise issues if ye do venture that high. If yer in the dark, flash modes include slow sync and red-eye reduction, and if ye're too lily-livered t'make up your mind then natural and flash mode takes two pictures, one wi'the flash and one wi'out.

An' speakin' of movies, the S2000HD earns its name with 1,280x720-pixel high definition video. Ye can also shoot VGA clips for the YouTube. There is electronic image stabilisation to cancel out the rollin' and swayin' of the ocean wave, but no stereo sound unfortunately. There's an HD connection, but it's component, not HDMI, and you do have to buy the cable separately -- a scurvy trick, aye!

The Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD is available in shops ashore for a mere £190 in doubloons. Now ye've joined the swashbucklin' life o'a gentleman o'fortune, come aboard and set sail with us through the links for more pictures, as we spin ye a yarn the likes of which ye've never heard before or will again. Update: Read our full Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD review here.

To the stern of the S2000HD we chance upon this grand 69mm (2.7in) LCD screen. If ye have a hankerin' f'the old-fashioned ways, there's an electronic viewfinder -- just remember which eye has the patch on, lest ye find yourself starin' with the wrong eye and wonderin' why it's so dark all of a sudden.

The S2000HD boasts a 27mm wide angle lens -- by th'stars! Ye could photograph a whole squadron with a lens that wide, I'd warrant. It's a 15x zoom too, mark ye.

If it's mode ye be wantin', then yer lookin' in the right place: aperture and shutter priority an' manual mode, should ye work up a hankerin' to take the wheel yerself.

Right, that's enough lip-flapping, mateys! There's seas to be sailed, booty to be plundered, grog t'be wassailed, wenches t'be wenched, an' investment bankers to be keelhauled. Yo ho ho, me hearties!
