Lexmark's new inkjets go wireless
Lexmark has announced five new inkjet printers, aimed at making wireless printing easy and affordable.
Lexmark yesterday unveiled five new inkjet printers as part of its 2007 line-up, with an emphasis on wireless capabilities, affordability and ease-of-use.
The new line-up consists of two photo printers -- the Z1420 and the Z1320 -- and three multifunction units -- the X4450, the X3550 and the X2550. Of the newly announced products, the X4550 all-in-one and Z1420 photo printer include built-in wireless support for 802.11b/g. The X3350 offers wireless as an optional feature while the X2250 and Z1320 are traditional wired models.
The just-announced products will make up less than half the line-up for the year, with the complete 2007 range consisting of 12 inkjet printers from both the multifunction and photo printer categories. Six will feature integrated wireless capabilities while an additional two will offer the function as an optional add-on. The remaining models will be announced later in the year.
