It's been nearly a year since the company formerly known as Facebook rebranded itself as Meta and extended that name into nearly all of its services and products. The previous Oculus Quest headset is now the Meta Quest, Facebook Portal became Meta Portal, and other services like Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram have received Meta's branding as well.

Meta is now planning to make a number of product and service announcements on Tuesday at the company's Connect event, and CNET will be covering it with a show that starts at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET.

At 9 a.m. PT, CNET's show will feature our videos about what we expect at Meta Connect. Then at 9:30 a.m. PT CNET's Bridget Carey and Justin Tech will host our preshow with reporters Queenie Wong and Ian Sherr. The panel will offer analysis on what to expect and take questions from the live YouTube chat.

Just before the Meta Connect event begins at 10 a.m. PT, CNET will get a peek into Meta's Horizon Worlds to show what the virtual world looks like before the announcements. Then the stream will move directly into the Meta Connect event.

After the event wraps, CNET's post-event show with Bridget Carey, Justin Tech and Scott Stein will analyze the announcements and answer more viewer questions from the chat.
