Winter starts on Tuesday, "Game of Thrones" fans. That's when you'll be able to pick up a sword and join House Forrester as it attempts to save itself from an almost certain doom.

Telltale Games has announced that "Iron from Ice," the first episode of the company's six-episode "Game of Thrones" video game, will launch on Tuesday for both PC and PlayStation 4 (US-only) console. "Iron from Ice" will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and European PlayStation 4 consoles on Wednesday, followed by an iOS release on Thursday and PS3 releases on December 9 and 10 for North America and Europe, respectively. An Android release is coming later in December, though further details on that release haven't been revealed yet.

The series will immerse players in the world of House Forrester, a Northern House in Westeros that's allied with House Stark. The game will take place all over Westeros, from the political center that is King's Landing to the Ironwood forests that are the lifeblood of the Forresters.

Many characters from the HBO show will make appearances of some kind, including Cersei and Tyrion Lannister, Margaery Tyrell and Ramsay Snow. The actors who play those characters will reprise their roles for the Telltale Games video game.

So, fellow "Game of Thrones" fans, get your swords and furry Jon Snow-style mega parkas ready.
