Just call November 8 "Apple Day" for US Cellular. That's when the carrier opens it registers for the iPad Air tablet, along with the iPhone 5S and 5C smartphones.
US Cellular will also sell the iPad Mini with Retina Display, though the company hasn't shared a sale date yet.
The cellular model of the 16GB iPad Air costs $629; it comes with Apple's faster A7 processor and a lighter, thinner chassis that weighs just over a pound. (The Wi-Fi only version weighs just a pound in all).
