Get a 24-inch LED monitor for $99.99 shipped

That's the lowest price I've ever seen for a new monitor this big. It comes with a three-year warranty.

Newegg

Big monitors rock, whether as a primary display for your desktop or a secondary one for your laptop. For a long time, the 22-inch LCD represented the price/size sweet spot, but that's starting to change.

To wit: While supplies last, Newegg has the Hanns-G HE245DPB 24-inch LCD monitor for $99.99 shipped when you apply coupon code EMCYTZT4967 at checkout. (As with most Newegg promos, you must be a registered, signed-in newsletter subscriber in order to use that code.)

That's the lowest out-the-door price I've ever seen for a 24-inch display. I don't recall seeing a comparable deal even on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. And this is new, not refurbished, with no rebate hassles.

Based on all that, you might expect a fairly no-frills LCD. But the HE245DPB features LED backlighting, a 1,920x1,080-pixel display resolution, built-in speakers, and DVI and VGA inputs. (Alas, no HDMI.)

My favorite feature of all: the three-year Hanns-G warranty. That affords some extra peace of mind, which is valuable considering that a handful of Newegg customers did encounter some reliability issues, at least according to their reviews. Overall, however, the monitor earned four out of five "eggs."

I should point out that the screen actually measures 23.6 inches diagonally, so technically it's a "24-inch class" monitor. That's a common bit of marketing nonsense in the monitor world, but I wouldn't let it stop me from hopping on this deal.

Indeed, when you consider that a lot of 24-inch monitors sell for $150-$200, this is almost too good to pass up. My only real concern is that it will sell out before you've finished reading the second paragraph. Good luck!

Bonus deal: Free music! For a limited time, Google Play is serving up 10 free songs from the likes of Daft Punk, Katy Perry, The White Stripes, and Fleetwood Mac. You need a Google (or Gmail) account, natch, but otherwise these are no-strings-attached MP3s you can download or stream from the cloud.
