This week's prize, a Burg 12 smartwatch from designer Hermen van den Burg, can work alone or be paired with an iPhone or Android device.
Editor's note: this contest closed at noon ET on Monday, December 8.
You probably don't need a smartwatch. But you might want one. And you might especially want one if it's free. Well, here's your chance...
This week, we've got a $199 Burg 12 smartwatch from Hermen van den Burg, a lifestyle designer for IKEA and Target. It pairs with all iPhones and Android phones via Bluetooth or can function as a standalone phone using any GSM SIM card (a free included card comes with $25 of prepaid talk and text).
The scratch-resistant touchscreen display measures 1.5 inches and has a resolution of 240x240 pixels. In addition to calls and texts, the device handles all the other basic functions you'd expect to see in a smartwatch -- music, video, a camera, calendar, contact lists and voice recording. The watch has 4GB of onboard storage that can be expanded to 16GB via microSD port.
So what do you have to do to win a Burg Wearables Burg 12 smartwatch and go all Dick Tracy on your life? There are few rules, so please read them carefully.
And here's the disclaimer that our legal department said we had to include (sorry for the caps, but rules are rules):
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. YOU HAVE NOT YET WON. MUST BE LEGAL RESIDENT OF ONE OF THE 50 UNITED STATES OR D.C., 18 YEARS OLD OR AGE OF MAJORITY, WHICHEVER IS OLDER IN YOUR STATE OF RESIDENCE AT DATE OF ENTRY INTO SWEEPSTAKES. VOID IN PUERTO RICO, ALL U.S. TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS, AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. Sweepstakes ends at 12 p.m. ET on Monday, December 8, 2014. See official rules for details.
Good luck. (And be sure to follow Crave on Twitter: @crave)
