Buying a Galaxy S3 this weekend? Check out Radio Shack's BOGO deal

A $99.99 S3 for you, a free S2 for someone in your family. Plus, you can get a $50 Google Play credit and at least a couple of $10 Radio Shack coupons as part of the deal.

Radio Shack

If you've finally decided to pull the trigger on a Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone, you might want to wait until Sunday -- then head to your local Radio Shack.

Starting that day, you'll be able to get a free second phone (among other goodies) when you buy a Galaxy S3 for $99.99 (with contract, natch) from any of three major carriers. Here's the rundown of the 'Shack's BOGO deals:

AT&T: Buy a Galaxy S3, get a Galaxy S2 Skyrocket for free.

Sprint: Buy a Galaxy S3, get a Galaxy S2 (that link is a review of the prepaid Boost Mobile version) for free.

Verizon: Buy a Galaxy S3, get a Galaxy Stratosphere II 4G LTE for free. You can also buy a Motorola Razr 4G LTE and get a second one free.

Although it's a bummer you can't get a second S3 with your purchase of the first one, this deal might appeal to someone who's looking for a second phone for their spouse or child -- someone who doesn't necessarily need all the S3's bells and whistles.

The good news is that you'll get a $50 Google Play credit if you buy your S3 in-store (or buy it from Sprint or Verizon via Radio Shack online) and sign up for a two-year service plan.

What's more, for a limited time, Radio Shack is offering a $10 coupon for every $50 you spend (in-store or online). And the entire BOGO shebang applies to new and upgrading customers alike.

So, what do you think? Is the promise of a freebie phone and other perks enough to get you to into a local Radio Shack (or at least onto Radio Shack's Web site)? Let me hear your thoughts on this BOGO deal.
