The phone-controlled Anki Overdrive car racing set is adding a much bigger player to the set, and it's ready to wreak havoc.
The X52 Supertruck ($60 in the US, £60 in the UK, or roughly AU$80), is part of a new line of larger vehicles that can battle on the real-life track against other players' cars. When a player takes control of this Supertruck, they can use the X52's Pulse Ram to blast other vehicles, which is pulled off using dedicated flashing lights.
In a new "Takeover" mode, players fight the Supertruck in order to weaken it enough that they can take over the bigger vehicle.
In this edition of "Joe and Tell," CNET editor Joseph Kaminski brings his son Jordan into the office to battle...erm...try out the X52.
