With iOS 4.3 now available for download from Apple, the only missing puzzle piece to iPhone 4's year is the oft-maligned white iPhone 4. Now, an analyst says Apple will begin production this month and ship white iPhone 4s at the beginning of April.

Will we ever really see a white iPhone 4 from Apple? Apple

With iOS 4.3 now available for download from Apple, the only missing puzzle piece to iPhone 4's year is the oft-maligned white iPhone 4. Now, an analyst says Apple will begin production this month and ship white iPhone 4s at the beginning of April.

Concord Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo gave AppleInsider the scoop. According to Kuo, Apple has solved the issues causing the delay in production of the white iPhone 4. Kuo claims that the film material has been changed to solve the full-lamination problem.

Interestingly, according to Kuo, the white iPhone 4 will only be available for GSM phones (read: AT&T). There was no word from Kuo about whether a CDMA version of the white iPhone 4 would be produced.

It seems likely that Apple had already set aside a batch of iPhone 4s to fulfill the demands for a white version. The only reason I can see why Apple would still try to produce these phones so late in their production year is because they have an inventory that cannot be converted to the black version and need to unload them.

At the iPad 2 announcement last week, Apple unveiled a white version of the iPad 2, perhaps to show that they have indeed solved the issues in making their camera-enabled iOS devices white.

With an iPhone 5 expected this summer, is anyone going to buy a white iPhone 4? Let me know what you think in the comments!
