Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin may charge at least $200,000 for space trip
The Amazon founder's rocket company isn't offering cheap flights.

We may finally have an idea of what a ticket to ride on a Blue Origin rocket will cost.
According to Reuters, space trips on Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' rocket company could cost between $200,000 and $300,000. The news service cited two anonymous Blue Origin employees as the source of the potential pricing.
Executives at the company had said at a June conference that Blue Origin intends to start test flights for its New Shepard space vehicle with passengers soon and hopes to sell tickets next year, according to Reuters. Bezos has been tight-lipped on ticket prices.
The company said in a statement that it hadn't set ticket pricing and there had been "no serious discussions" within the company on the subject.
"We will fly passengers when we are ready," the company said. "We have a flight test schedule and schedules of those types always have uncertainties and contingencies. Anyone predicting dates is guessing."
In April, the company launched a recycled New Shepard rocket -- along with a crew capsule carrying a dummy named "Mannequin Skywalker" -- on a brief space flight. It touched back down safely in the west Texas desert minutes later.
At the time, Blue Origin, which competes with Elon Musk's SpaceX, highlighted what it says is one of its system's landing advantages.
