You may be planning the 2012 holidays in your house, but the CNET house is already thinking about our big holiday: The 2013 International CES.

Our official coverage of CES starts soon, and of course we'll blog, tweet, and slideshow the living daylights out of any news related to the show. Those are table stakes for good CES coverage.

But as the Official Digital News and Video Partner of CES, we'll also deliver live coverage of every CES event you wish you could attend yourself. We'll start our streaming on CES Press Day (Monday, January 7) and continue to stream all week long. We'll cover press conferences and keynotes, of course, but you'll also get live behind-the-scenes booth tours with Brian Tong, front-row seats at our panels with Brian Cooley and Molly Wood, on-stage product reveals, Always On-style torture tests, and live interviews with newsmakers and CNET editors.

In fact, if you love to follow CES, don't expect to get any actual work done during that second week of January. We're planning a ton of special events you won't find anywhere else at the show or on the Web.

For starters, we're excited to announce a panel we're hosting at the CNET stage in South Hall that tackles one of the most fascinating topics in tech right now: the intersection of gadgets and your body. Titled "The Next Interface: You," our special breakout panel includes Matt Rogers, founder & VP of engineering at Nest, James Park, CEO & co-founder of Fitbit, and Michael Buckwald, CEO and co-founder of LeapMotion. Brian Cooley will host the conversation on Wednesday, January 9 at 3 p.m., so mark your calendars now for our live stream and live blog.

We're also planning our still-secret annual Next Big Thing Supersession during which we pack a giant conference room at the show to explore and discuss the future of consumer electronics with inspiring speakers. I can't wait to tell you more about it, so keep an eye out for that news. Of course, we'll wrap the show up with our live stage presentation and stream of the official Best of CES Awards, too.

So eat some turkey, visit your family, then mark your calendar for our favorite time of year, starting January 7, 2013.
