Modern cars are a wonderful, wonderful thing.
But here at XCAR, we have just as much respect for that which has come before.
This is the award for the best classic that we've
driven here at XCAR so far.
The E30 M3 got the XCAR team extremely excited to get their hands on this seed, the origin of such a legendary name.
Performance may have come a long way since the E30, but this car is still a lot of fun.
Any day you get to drive a classic Rolls Royce is going to be a good one, and the 1973 Rolls Royce Corniche that we got our hands on was no different.
This convertible driving around in London, was a fantastic experience, one we will
never, ever forget.
BMW only ever made one supercar - the M1, and getting our hands on it was a phenomenal experience.
It's unfortunate that BMW have never quite made it to supercar status again, but this in the back catalogue, we hope that one day they'll be there.
In the 70's, the cars Aston Martin were producing looked as muscle-y as anything that ever came out of Detroit, and the '75 V8 Vantage that we drove was quite an experience.
Aside from the petrol fumes that were getting spilled into the cabin, which gave us
a slightly lightheaded feel.
The experience of being behind the wheel of something so powerful and so aggressive was unforgettable.
We have the great fortune of getting our hands on some of the most exclusive BMW Roadsters of all time, from the 328, the 327, and the 507.
These cars were beautiful in absolute mint condition, and so much fun to drive.
Having them out on the track for the whole day was a truly unbelievable experience.
But, this list can
only be won by one car - the Ford GT40.
We had a Mark III out to Castle Combe track for the entire day, flanked by GT70 and a GT.
What a day that was.
To be sat in the driving seat of something so legendary, a car that had achieved so much in its lifetime and still hold such a pride of place in all of our collective memories.
There could be no other winner.
So that's our winner for our favourite classic we've driven here at XCAR.
