They call this the Amarock, I believe that's how you pronounce it. It's what they call a midsize pickup. It's kind of small by US standards, although it's definitely not a mini truck so it's sort of right in the middle. Now it's initially available in this crew cab, 2 row configuration with kind of a stubby bed back here but they'll eventually roll out a standard single cab and that'll get you more of a bed. Now I'm not sure they worry about 4x8 sheets of plywood in the rest of the world, you know different measurements and stuff so I'm not sure that bed will eat one but it looks yeah I think it should, so it's a real working truck. Speaking of that they're available in some very low trim levels at the baseline it's not a poser, it's a work truck. The basic vehicle has no power lifts, no power locks, no nonsense, no fancy audio system, not even paint on the door handles but of course we've got the pimp mobile here because that's what you show at car shows. Much more American style with partial chrome trim, everything's painted and kind of nice inside. And again this is a high trim vehicle so but still nice leather seats, the nice quality materials we usually see on VWs, same gauge gear, similar head unit we've seen it's almost eerie, it's kind of like I'm driving a Jetta Pick em up and that's jarring me. Engine choices are all small TDI, turbo diesel power plants, very VW. In fact the one they're crawling about here a 2 liter inline 4, turbo diesel. Good power, good torque as you might imagine but how do you think that kind of motor would print with American truck buyers? Yeah I agree. [Backgorund music ] It doesn't matter cause this thing is not coming to the US. They probably took a look at the Ridgeline and said hum that one tried to enter the market and got their ass handed to them so we'll stay in places like you know Belgium and Brazil. ^M00:02:10 [ Music ]
