The Lagonda All-Terrain Concept shows an electric off-road future for Aston Martin
Cars
Welcome to the Aston Martin Lagonda standard, the Geneva show 2019, and well, we've already heard about the Aston Martin bit with the 003 and the new Vanquish Vision concept.
This is the Lagonda part, and this is the all terrain concept.
Now, you might remember, last year, there was the Vision concept, which was Sort of, well, quite a radical looking thing with this sort of very sleek outline, and this is obviously the fruition of that sort of going forward, given that we've got DVX coming this year as well.
Batteries still all underneath.
Slightly different look to it, probably a more conventional sort of shape, but we've still got [UNKNOWN] on the front here.
This sort of swooping grill here, and I love the badge where it looks like it's sort of floating on there as well.
Walking down the side, funky, huge wheels, 23 inch wheels.
They're not gonna be very good off-road, are they?
Cameras here, which you've seen before.
We'll get to the doors in a minute.
If we come around to the back here, recognize this sort of pinched rear which you saw in the previous concept as well.
Obviously more electric underneath this as we normally gonna be.
It's going to be built down in Wales at St Athan's factory.
When you open the boot up.
You get a sorta of shelf that comes out here.
As with the vision concepts perhaps the most extraordinary part of the car is the interior.
Because you've got all batteries down low.
You get this huge amount of wonderful space in here with it.
airy feeling glass through, it has the doors that open up, the big suicide doors here.
That red carpet moment so you can easily step out to your premiere or whatever.
In here we have all sorts of materials like cashmere and silk going on.
Which has to be the party piece of this which is a floating key which sits there and rotates.
The whole car has obviously been built with a certain amount of autonomous driving in mind.
Although this is slightly more driver focused than the vision concept.
But the seats will still swivel around if you want them to before you get in and.
It's really rather lovely in here.
Reclined in there so I could, well, halfway go to sleep really.
Just before you think I'm skirting around the issue, we haven't actually been given any sort of particular, well, mechanical details of this.
Other than I think they've mentioned they're aiming for sort of 400 mile range to be what they want.
This is 200 millimeters taller than the Vision Concept but yeah, that's all we know most of the front motor in the back as you'd expect.
That's it.
It's just a it's a styling concept for the moment.
That's it from the live on the stand.
Let us know what you think about it you more excited about this or the valkyrie and oo3.
