Why some Ford Bronco customers are getting new hardtop roofs
Why some Ford Bronco customers are getting new hardtop roofs
Speaker 1: It's not a great day for the Ford Bronco today. Ford said it's going to replace every single last molded in color, hard top for the Bronco SUV. Why? Well it's, because Ford says it just doesn't meet its quality standards cosmetically, and it doesn't matter if a customer's already taken delivery or if the SUV U V is still in production, we're gonna dive in. So here's what it all boils down to. If your Bronco's already sitting in the garage, great, you don't have to do anything else. [00:00:30] Ford's gonna get in touch with you and let you know when there's a new, hard, top ready. And the same goes for those who are waiting to take delivery at a dealership. Now here's where it gets a little trickier. If you, you noticed your bill date came and went without any updates from Ford, that means you're kind of stuck in this sort of production.
Speaker 1: Limbo. Ford's not going to have these new hard tops ready until October. And the same goes, if you have a schedule for your bill date, but they haven't started production of your SUV, you're also going to be stuck waiting. Unfortunately. [00:01:00] Now it's a little bit worse from there. If you don't have a build date, scheduled Ford says it's not scheduled for production at all. That means your Bronco is going to become a 2022 model because of this hard top issue. Ford said that it's not going to be able to produce nearly as many, 2021 Broncos this year. So that means a lot of people are getting pushed to the next model here. Ford said, it's going to start production of the 2022 Bronco in late December. So [00:01:30] that means a lot of people are looking at Broncos in six months from now four months from now, not that great Ford told us it's seriously disappointed in the inconvenience and it's working super hard.
Speaker 1: I, and build the Bronco as quickly as possible. Ford said for customers who do get pushed to the 2022 model year, it's gonna have some nice stuff coming your way. They plan on sending you some merchandise exclusive offers, and it's also going to Institute price protection. So if Ford does increase the price of the 2022 [00:02:00] Bronco, you're still going to pay the price. Your 2021 Bronco. It's just a little way to say, sorry. And thanks for practicing patience.
