Today is Tuesday, August 30th and here's what's making news on Roadshow. GM has an unlikely bed fellow for its latest hydrogen fuel cell concept, the US Army. Based on the Chevrolet Colorado, this concept truck will help the Army test the viability of fuel cells in the field while GM gets to dip its toes in a bit of non traditional powertrain development. We've only shown off a teaser for now. The full shebang will be unveiled in October. Take the money and run! That's the sentiment that most Volkswagen diesel owners have right now. According to Bloomberg, a majority of the 210,000 owners that have signed up for Volkswagen's $15 billion settlement have opted to take the buyback offer. Fewer than 300 owners have decided to opt out of the settlement entirely. [INAUDIBLE] that might not be possible if Volkswagen and regulators can't actually agree on a fix. Japanese investigators have discovered eight additional Mitsubishi models with misreported fuel economy figures. [MUSIC] For the last 25 years, Mitsubishi's been fudging the data used to calculate fuel economy. And the company initially fessed up to its misdeeds back in April. The revelation hit the company so hard that it had to ask Nissan for some cash. Which lead to Nissan buying up a controlling stake in Japan's sixth largest automaker.
